Meet Your Therapist

A woman with long brown hair wearing a red jumpsuit is standing in a room with beige carpet, white walls, and a window. She is smiling, with one arm extended to the side and the other slightly bent. There is a black padded stool, a black exam table, and a wooden chair in the room. Two abstract art pieces are hanging on the wall behind her.

Dr. Elizabeth Kingshott Cary, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT

Owner and Founder of Spinal Haven

I am Dr. Elizabeth Kingshott, owner and founder of Spinal haven. I am a metro Detroit native and wanted to bring next level care to my hometown. I wanted to open a place where you can receive quality Spinal Physical Therapy and learn about all the other harmonious components that play into that. I have a love for holistic medicine and desire to help patients find natural alternatives to risky medications, injections, and avoidable surgeries.

I walked through my own history of neck and Back pain following an unexpected injury, in my attempts to seek specialized care I was not getting answers and was close to be referring to pain management. Talking to other people with spinal pain I then started hearing too many similar stories time and time again. This prompted my love to educate others on what can be expected and that a return to play with your grand children or returning to sport without pain is possible.

I have received specialized training in a Healthy Back program in Louisianna and have gone on to get additional training and certification with my Cert. MDT credentials to allow me to correctly identify the reason for your pain and treat it effectively. I am so excited to meet you and help you get the quality care you deserve.
